Golf
courses abound around New Bern and vicinity. Of excellent
quality and design, our top courses have won praise from
amateurs and professionals alike and host a number of large
golf tournaments, including the Curtis Strange Invitational
Classic usually held the last week in September at the Emerald
in Greenbrier, this year we've got Tiger Woods and Justin
Leonard with David Feherty playing skins for charity.
Golfing
residents and visitors are fortunate: Popular courses are
easily accessible, many in planned residential communities,
and the normally mild New Bern area climate allows for year-round
play.

This
is a first class Weyerhaeuser community development
and golf course, designed by the Jack Nicolas design
team. In the same league as the Emerald. Clubhouse architectural
detailing taken directly from New Bern's sister city
of Bern, Switzerland. Private course. Reciprocal rights
with Cypress Landing and The Emerald. Hiking & nature
bike trails, canoe trail, tennis, pool.

Camp Lejeune Marine Base Jacksonville, NC (2 courses)
Thirty
five minutes from New Bern on Hwy. 17S, follow signs to
base entry. Must be military or dependents, same restrictions
as Cherry Point.
